Coney Island Amusement Ride Inspections

During the month of March, the Elevator Unit of the Department of Buildings diligently inspected all of the amusement park rides at Coney Island’s Luna Park and Deno’s Wonder Wheel. These inspections, which take place annually before the parks open for the season, prioritize the safety of New York citizens.

Each ride was subject to thorough scrutiny and testing by the inspection team, who even walked the length of each roller coaster to ensure its safety. The team collaborated with park operators to verify that every ride met the necessary safety standards before granting public access.
